Where to buy Formalyn?

Where are folks getting their formalyn from? Just checked with FTFFA, it would cost me $50 to SHIP a gallon.

Hi Jeff,
If it were spring/summer I'd go in on an order with you... but the laws now only allow for ground shipment of formalin... and its too darn cold out... Formalin turns into paraformaldehyde if it gets too cold!!! and thats toxic.

maybe they'll ship it more reasonably.

to make it easier in your research just enter what you are looking for in advanced search and you will see that they have a Kordon Formalin 34 oz for $1.99 ;)

(Aquarium Products) Formalin to me seems like some strong stuff..i have used (Kordon) formalin also for things such as gil flukes but pound for pound Aquarium Products-Formalin does its job quiker,but pay close attention to to dosing chart on side of bottle.Got mine from Dr.Foster Smith.HTH..

That was my point ... FTFFA has to charge $50 HAZMAT (hazardous material) fee for a gallon of Formalyn ... makes it quite expensive
