Good morning! I have 2 large (6"+)wild heckels mixed in with some other adult discus. They have been together for a few months. They are all happy and eat like pigs...temp is 86F, ph 6.5...all just like my other breeders....there are about 8 in the tank. I notice that some stick together more but basically there is no connection. What gives? I tried all the tricks.....but nothing.....any suggestions? I appreciate it..thanks.

It's much harder to breed heckles. Try lower temps, softer water, etc.

8 - 6 in fish

too many fish in one place take 3 of them and put them in another tank
and see what kind of action you get

Heckles prefer very low pH in the mid 5's.

That is interesting....I figured if I put a lot together, someone would make a connection....?? But that is not working...so I will try what you suggest.
Thanks..Donna
