Yes Sireee Folks...Brews setting the date for next North East Discus Meeting. (I know..about time!!!!) I am looking at the date of Sat March 6. To be held in the vicinity of Ctdiscus in Northford Connecticut., for lack of a better or offered place.

I figure if I don't set the date I'll never do this. Meeting will be at an area restaurant or hall, details to follow... all are welcome after to squeeze into my home and hatchery for some Discus viewing home brew Beer and home made salsa. I Hope to have the garage framed by then, and that I'll have 2x the number of fish by then to look at.

I am trying to arrange for a real good set of speakers... More on that latter. If I am real hyper... I may even make us up some special t-shirts to be preordered(no promises there)

I can't see The event costing us more than $25-30 a piece..

Okay... Roll call... whos going? I joked with HenryD the last time we spoke that if I could get all of you to kick in $1000 apiece... I'd build an addition for all future meetings to be held at!... Since that ain't happening.. The restaurant/house tour will have to do.

I am there also.....Let me know if I can help coordinate anything.

25-30. Wonder if I could get that much for a mug shot of the elusive Frank. Any takers? Come on Tad. I can't take pictures of fish if my life depend on it but I do people pretty well.

OK limited print of Frank....possibly signed by the subject in question.

I would love to attend.
I grew up just north of Northford in Glastonbury, and seeing as your only about an hour away I would love to meet other discus fans.
Everyone at TFSRI is into killies, africans, cats and corys, no regular members are into discus.

I'm in central Mass just south of Worcester, if anyone needs a ride and they are close to me or are able to get to the Worcester or Providence area I would be glad to offer a ride. I have room for 4-5 people in my wagon.

;D :D :) :D ;D

Sounds like a great plan. If all goes well, I'll be there with my doe-re-mi (moolah) because I'm sure Al has extra discus. ;D LOL If the weather behaves Al, I'd love to join; I'm in New York so it's not too too far off. Keep me posted to details and location. **Angie**

Now I want to be there, too. Sounds like a great discus fest! Wish I was not in my last semester in school and I would book a ticket. DAD GUM IT!

Salsa and beer sound really good....especially if it is all home made!

How fun is this???? TOOO DARN FUN! OOOOH, I'll check to see when spring break is scheduled. Perhaps I'll stop by as well. Peggy (cartoon)

Hey, I'm new to the site, and realize I probably missed a pretty good opportunity at the meeting, but o well. Just wondering if it's likely to happen again any time soon. Brew, I live in West Haven, bout 15 miles away from you I'm thinking, so I'd really love an opportunity like that to come around again.
Been researching discus for a few months now, and I'm shopping around for my tank. Should be any time now... Can't wait...

:bounce2: :bounce2: :bounce2: Hey Seth, welcome to the simply discus family!! Yes, would've been nice to see you at the mtg, but there will be others I'm sure.. Al has been a gem & manages to arrange these mtgs in what extra time I don't think he has but as they say, if you want something done give it to the busiest person you know, & that's Al/Brew.
So, come on in & enjoy the forum & friends, & maybe we'll meet someday at a mtg or whatever!!
You are very lucky to be close to Al, there's lots to learn here & you'll be a discus keeper in no time if you just follow the arrows!!
The ACA is in Denver in July!!!!!!!!!!! have fun, Dottie ;D
