What's a good algae eater for the thin leaves of java moss. My entire substrate is covered with it. One that won't eat it either and will not bother my discus.

Otoclinus are smaller algae eaters and do a great job and cleaning the algae in the tank, they are about 1-1.5 inches big

I personally like Bristlenose plecostumus the best, if you have a tank for a 5-6" inch fish then i would definitely get one of these!

I have learned the hard way that otos are very delicate, and my LFS doesn't have any bristlenose. Online shopping is for losers. It will be the end of the world before i pay $30.00 shipping for one lowsy fish!! Will a regular pleco do? Give me other suggestions.

The Plecs can grow large.Ther are a lot of little designer Plecs around but the majorty of them are not good algae eaters.I prefer a Bristlenose.

"Online shopping is for losers"? Being new to the hobby, I'm not exactly sure how to take that statement. Could you explain a little? I don't want to be a loser. ???

I think the next sentence explains the first. I think having to pay $30.00 shipping for a $5.00 fish doesn't seem to smart.

What kind of Bristlenose i.e. are there more than one? I'm looking for the most compatible kind for a discus.
Bristlenose I've read ( I don't believe everything I've read) like water temps of 70 - 80 degrees F. Discus like it warmer.
Is this a problem?
