I have been keeping aquariums for about 3 years. I have a 20 gal., 10 gal. and 5 gal. stocked accordingly with swords, danios, corys, neons, blackskirt tetras, black neons. My question is this: My 10 gal. is coming available soon. I wanted to try something new and different. I read where discus pairs are lifetime mates. Can my 10 gal. hold a pair of discus comfortably?

Absolutely not. Do your homework and you'll see what I mean. You could put a pair in a 20 only if you perform frequent water changes and you're sure they're a compatible pair. I say could not should.

No, a ten gallon is way too small. 29 gallon is a nice size for pairs. Adult discus are big.

Hi mera

It's better to give 10 gallons per discus.
