Any thoughts on the readiness of my tank for discus? Tank has been cycling for approx. 3 weeks. Water parameters are:

Nitrate: 10ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Hardness:25ppm
Alkalinity: 80ppm
Ammonia: 0
Ph: 6.6
Temp: 88
One teaspoon of salt per 10 gallons added (46gal. tank).

Thanks, everyone is so helpful on this board!!

Tim :)

The numbers look good. What method did you use to cycle the filter and how are you keeping it alive now?

I had a couple of Kull(Cull?) piegon bloods that a friend loaned me to start off the tank. The water does seem to be clouding up though and has me a little worried. I'm using an AC 500 with 2 sponges as you suggested. Should I pull one of the sponges and add charcoal to help clear the water?

It's probably just a bacterial bloom (new tank/new filter) and should right itself in a couple of weeks. It's just unsightly and doesn't hurt the fish.
