SHOW ME YOUR BLUE PANDAS ??????

I HAVE SOME BLUE PANDAS NOW THEY ARE PEPPERED BLACK AND STILL BABIES AND LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE WATTLEY'S. WHAT CROSS WAS THERE TO COME UP WITH THEM? CONFUSED HOW THEY LOOK SO DIFFERENT AND WANT TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD TURN OUT TO BE.

I have no pictures to show, for some reason they do not photograph well. I have 2 that I got from Cary about a month ago. Both of them look very very different. Both have no peppering at all. One of them looks like a blue diamond the other is absolutely beautiful. The body is shimmery, white pink golden in color with all kinds of hues of blue on the fins. I will be anxiously watching this topic as I can not wait to see what mine will look like as well. Mine are about 2 inchs in size.

A blue panda is pidgeon blood based fish, that's why there is peppering on the body. I personally have never seen a good looking blue panda like the ones on Wattley's site besides the ones ive seen at the hatchery that Gabe is keeping for himself as breeder's.

Cary, do you have photos of the Ocean Greens? I was told my Ocean Greens are Ocean Greens, but after seeing your photos of the Blue Pandas...

In any event, I love my discus, no matter what color they are. ;D Just curious..Is the Ocean Greens also pigeon-based? I do see that my acquired Blue Pandas (now I know their exact title, thanks to discusdaddy posting this article.. ;D .. it's all good) do have a slight peach/orange base but no peppering at all.

Thanks for posting the picture Cary. One of mine looks a lot like the 3rd one from the right but shows much more blue. Like I said in my earlier post. The colors in that one are breath taking. I am hoping it does not go thru alot of color changes.

Your post also explains why one of them looks so much like a blue diamond to me.

I have tried till I am blue in the face to capture the real color of my blue panda. I can not but this is as close as I can get. What you do not see is the shimmer of peach and gold and white in the body. This discus is truly a prize. Thank you Cary. I love this one the best...

These all look like blue diamonds to me. Here is post with what I would call real blue pandas, Pigeons with white body and blue fins, with or without striations, pure white ones are called white butterfly and bring a higher price. You may have to cut and paste web address.

Blue panda is a cross of Blue Diamond and a white pigeon blood. So yes, a blue panda is a blue pigeon.
