Hi jd - I've had 1/10 neons eaten by my 4" Discus - the potential for snacking is there but I've lost more to PH swings. Cardinals are bigger.

Hi Jd,

I had discus with cardinals, they grew up together. It was fine for me. My discus (5") did not eat my tetras. For some people, it does not work.

If you put cardinals with small discus and let them grow together, it might be alright.
Cardinal is much better then neon as they can grow bigger and they are hardier than neons :)

Ronny

I've kept cardinals, black neons, and rummynose tetras with discus. Don't buy baby tetras. They'll get eatened.

cards and rummies.....no problama in a decorated tank.....only the weak get wacked.....so get them plump and happy first.....

I've found that Cardinals are much better suited to the higher heat that Discus require. Neons are pretty wimpy...
