o yea, and is the water just tap water? or dechlorinated? and leave them in the bag rinsing?

Dechlorinated, cold water - I store it in the fridge. I keep the worms in a plastic box - like a big tupperware container. Dan also sells blue worm keepers that are ideal for 1/4 lb or so. I have two of those that I use when towards the end of an order (they take up less room in the fridge)

I bought a couple of those worm holders from Dan but my wife won't let me keep worms in the fridge unless they are covered tightly.

I do what she says because divorces are expensive. ::)

Hi Everyone,

I bought the blue worm keepers from Dan and I went to the dollar store and bought a plastic shoebox that has a lid.. I Put 2 of the Blue worm keepers in them and put in the refrigerator no mess and no worms crawling around in the refrigerator.. Wife is happy ;D

The worms need air - don't suffocate them

Hi Carol,
One thing about the plastic shoeboxes the worms will not suffocate.. They can still get air .. Boxes are not airtight

I keep mine in a tightly sealed tupperware container and I change their water at least once a day. I have kept them for a month with no problems.
