Has anyone ever used stainless steel heaters? Not Pro heaters.

Hi,
They are made by Via Aqua.
I have been using 3- 300 watt ones for about 2 months. So far they are great.
Accurate and steady.

I have been using them for 3-4 yrs now. After letting the water get too low with daily water changes a few times, started breaking the glass ones on a regular basis. :'( Switched to stainless, digital readout. Never had a problem since.

I' ve bought 3- 300w stainless steel .....

I've been using a WON Pro 300W heater on my my 55 gallon tank. The heater is set at 86F but the tank temp. is only at 84 F. I adjust the heater according to the manufacture manual, but that does not help.

Today, I unplug the pro heater and plug in the Via-Aqua. The heater is set at 85 F. After a few hours, I check the tank temp. and it is at 85 F. Now I use two 300W heaters on my tank.

Via-Aqua ... set at 85 F
Pro heater ...set at 83 F ......for back up



So far ..Via-Aqua heaters are steady, accurate and cheap ....

No more Pro heaters ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

erm . . . lets see if your Via Aqua last's longer than 8 months before it dies or cooks your fish ::)

I have in combination either used or sold over 150 Via Aqua titanium 300 w heaters. I can say they have a 25% defect return rate as tracked by my wholesaler. That is all I have to say about them. ::)

Sorry I have had 5 stop working in the last month all less than 1 year. :(
