Tiny little critters in the water

During a water change today when the filters and air pumps were off, I noticed thousands of tiny little critters teaming at the surface of the water. To the naked eye they looked like baby brine shrimp, and brown in color. What is this? Is this something to be of concern, and if so, how do I get rid of it? The discus are acting normal and don't seem to be affected. Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know exactly what you have, but anytime you have an explosion of critters it means you are overfeeding or not cleaning enough. Cut back on food, clean the tank and rinse the filters in dechlorintaed water.
