Salt treatment

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before. Can someone please direct me to the thread of this treatment. My main concern is the biological filter. At what concentration of salt solution starts affacting the Nitrobecters bacteria if there's any? Thanks.

Hi,
I think it would have to be very strong. There is nitrobacter (possibly a bit different) in sea water which is much more concentrated than any treatments we use. I have used 1 tablespoon / 1 gallon as treatment, no problems.
