I use this rack from home depot, and I sure can't get the tank space I thought I would. Bottom shelf is way too low but I have no choice, middle shelf is perfect, top shelf is too high. I would like to purchase a 75 and a 125 soon also and there is no way this rack will work. What systems or configurations do all of you use, best use of space for breeding and raising tanks?

1977,
Build your own using 2x4. It's a lot cheaper and you can build to fit exactly any size tank. Make sure to use the deck screws (primeguard). Use the money to buy a miter saw. Makes cutting faster and easier. You'll have the saw to do others things around the house.lol ;D

1977,
I got my Gorrilla Rack GR7200 (72x18x72) from Orchard Supply for $99.0. It has three shelves and you can adjust them to the level that you want. Or just use two shelves than you don't have to use the ladder. It should fit a standard 125G tank. Home Depot also has similar rack for the same price in my area. I think it called "Heavy Duty Rack". Both racks are very strong and I think each shelf can hold up to 5000lbs.
Like Dan has mentioned, if you are a handyman, build your own rack with 2x4 it will be much cheaper.

Since neither one of us are "handy", more like dangerous with tools, we took the easy way out. Here are some of our racks from Menards.

Thanks, we are going for efficiency without a central system right now. We have another business that can be quite demanding at times. We love the snap together simplicity of the steel racks.
