Green Discus

Just got a phone call this evening from my local LFS to tell me he has come by a couple of Green Discus.I have been looking for some time to get one .Difficult to get over here at the moment.I am going down on Saturday to see them.

Went down to see them today but was dissapointed.I am looking for an Ocean or Solid Green.He said he would keep trying to get me one.
He had two lovely wilds which I was tempted by but I believe it is not good to mix them with domestics.

I think you can mix them but they must be the same size. ;)

My wild green is actually the most laid back fish in my tank, 100 gallons with 12 fish, the only wild being the green...

Interesting.Did you grow them all up together or did you add the Wild Green one at a later stage.

Liz I have several wilds in my community tanks with my domestics, no problem at all. They are very mellow and have even started cross breeding wi th the domestics. The only difference i see in their behaviors is the wilds tend to pick a territority they like in the tank and stay there although they are not overly aggresive defending it. Tony

He was a late addition, although 4 other sub adults have been added since.

You can mix anything as long as you quarantine.

Oh you are tempting me now :).I will certainly think about it.The wild ones were both around 5 inches also pricey.
