Nice work! :D
Here's a photo update of some of the discus now 9 months and the tank I keep them in. There are also two stunted LFS rescues in the tank also.
and lastly another turq.
BTW I took aver 130 pics to get about a dozen good shots.

Hello Rob,
very good Job, they look great!
By the way, be careful with the roots or branches.
Sometimes Discus can panic for whatever reason, and can swim fast without taking attention and can be injured.
So, be careful with sharp edges.
regards,
Jess
I was paranoid about that at first when I setup this tank with the branches, but after 4 months with no injuries despite their jitteriness. (is that a word?)
They really seem to like this setup over any other I have done, including planted tanks.
Thanks

Rod,
Great job! :) :)
Do you get some gold and some Turq in the group? What is the % of the different type?
Thank you for sharing the pictures!
Kam
I don't know the parents lineage, but here's a rough breakdown:
70% Golden PB
20% Turq
5% Golden Tangerine
5% Snakeskin
The PB father is fairly dirty, and most of the goldens were dirty also(black spotted)
Congrats! I hope I get to see this process soon myself, that's got to be fun to watch them throughout different stages

Well Done Rob ;D
Update:
One of the golden pigeons placed second in the New World cichlids category at my clubs show this weekend. Chris Perrson's (www.cichlidscene.com) midas cichlid took 1st. Check out his site the midas is a monster.
I also showed a turq but he was next to the midas and he was dark and frightened and didn't place. I (and I think my turq) had visions of the midas chewing his way out of his tank to eat him.

Aloha Rob, how are you doing? I just want to let everyone know that I was fortunate enough to have 6 of the same batch shown here. I have kept 3 for breeding. 2 turqs now 6" and 1 pretty clean pidgeon. Someday I hope to get a digi cam so I can stop telling everyone about my discus and just show them. Mahalo Braddah Rob for some great discus and Thanks also to Al for shipping them to me.
Aloha, Ike ;D ;D ;D
