Pairing up?

Do you have better results putting two fish in a tank by themselves (known male-female) or is it best to leave them in a group and remove the other fish after a pair forms

Oh....you mean you want to know other peoples experiences....

well any-who here is mine
I left them as a group for 6 weeks with no results....
so then I left the known pair alone..
6 hours later....there doin' the funky chicken
12 hours later......I have eggs.
so for these two...home alone was the way to go....

hi,

I guess it is easier to form new pairs from a group. You can also try putting a pair into a group. You will have lots of new pairs :). IMO you were just lucky with your experience.. Hope this helps.
