question about waste water

hi all i keep my growouts in the waste water from my ro ,last week my replacment carbon unit got delaid in the post so i resorted to useing aged declorinated tap water. the fish seemed alot happier in this ive gone back to useing the waste water and the fish dont seem as happy. could something in the water be getting through the sediment and carbon filter?

Hi,
I noticed with my new carbon units (in line before Ro) that the ph can go high with new carbon units.

Monitor ph for stability and increases.

Depending on the efficiency of your RO unit as you may already know the waste water is concentrated with everything being removed from your tap water. This means your waste water would have a much higher concentration of hardness and alkalinity and any other unwanted chemicals and minerals will be also found in a higher concentration then in your tap water.
