how long to leave food

my discus have been in my tank for a week and are just coming around to eating nothing great but a start my question is how long should I leave un eaten food happy Easter tacks

I remove uneaten food no more than an hour after I've put it in. A better method would be to feed smaller amounts and add more once it's all gone. That way you learn how much your fish can eat and you won't have to be constantly vacuming your tank.

Any frozen foods ie: beefheart, brine shrimp, blood worms will foul your water quickly. Foods like flake and pellets you have a little more leeway with...but the less time it's in there the better IMO.
