I recently moved a pair to a breeder tank and took a sponge from another tank for them. The problem is I didn't realize it was infested with copods. Well the pair put down eggs about 2 days ago. My question is will they harm the eggs and/or fry and how do I get rid of them without harming the eggs/fry?

Tony,
they can be a problem...best way to remove is with lots of water changes, and dip your sponge in a formalin bath at a rate of 2 mls per 5 gals...aerate the sponge...maintain for 20 minutes .most of the copepods will leave the sponge.

Thanks Al!
I don't have any formalin but I'm pretty sure one of the Detroit area bro's will have some on hand. As far as water changes go the eggs are just below the water line. Seeing how this is the first batch of eggs outside of a community tank and me being the rookie I am I'm not sure how to do water changes.
