I have a 5" discus one of the original 2 i started with ,now i have about 12 in my 150 gallon tank, the original 2 have always mouth locked etc , but the turk seems to have won the pecking fight and the other is not eating and hiding in the corner, what is the best thing to do here , would it be to sell on the fish ........

It may just be sick - perhaps it needs a hospital tank and a metro treatment. Is it dark, hiding in the back of the tank, not eating? Any white strings of mucus hanging from it's vent?

Hard to tell from photo whether that is a worm or muscus. Next time you see this hanging from the vent squeeze it between your finger and thumb. Does it feel solid like a worm or does it feel like snot?

I wont be able to pull it out into a hospital tank till tomorrow, but it has snapped off and it now looks like the tale of a tadpole hanging out i.e. transparent on outer and whit in the centre ....

Is it a worm or is it mucus? You won't know what to treat for unless you can figure out what it is.

They don't list ingredients. why don't you contact them and find out what it contains?

If you can't find Metrogyl, try to find "General Cure", it should be sold in pet stores.

I have not tried it yet but my friends said that it's effective but expensive.
