Discus Spit out food

I am a new Discus keeper and I can't seem to get my two new discus to eat.

20gal.
7.0 pH
Discus are about 2.5-3.0 inches.

I've had them for 5 days and they will go for the Brine Shrimp and Bloodworms and take them into their mouths but then spit it back out. I watch them for a long time and don't see them keeping any of it in.

Any helpful hints?

Here is an informative thread on the most common treatments - specifically Intestinal Flagellates. Are they excreting any white feces?
