my new melon pair

well i already posted this pick once, but it's going up again.

i bought two pairs from tim who lives north of me. i had wanted the turk pair he had but susan beat me to them! i was interested in some blues, so i got a cobalt/bluexwhite pair from tim. the color and shape of his melons were so nice i just had to buy them too! i'm not much of a pigeon guy but these are awesome!

now mind you, tim has extremely hard tap thanks to michigans huge salt deposits. his water is something like 1700tds! so his r/o gives him around 300.

well i put them in some extremely soft water 60-70ms. they laid the first night but ate them right away. i think they were upset i moved the sponge away from the pipe, so they weren't as guarded...

well i moved the sponge to the front and a clay pot near the rear.....today she covered about 1/3 of that pot with eggs!!!!!! there's a ton of them!

so i'll try to get some pics tomorrow if they are still there. hopefully i'll be posting pics of wrigglers in 3 days!

well spawn 2&3 were both eaten on the third day. trying to be patient, tempted to screen them, i just keep crossing my fingers!
