Hello all, has anyone used frozen daphnia to feed young fish? I would like to know if its good , bad , or whatever else anyone might have to say about it...was thinking of trying it on some young fish

I used frozen Hikari daphnia for a year (stop using it as the government banned it >:().
I dont have any problems with it, my discus love it. I fed my young discus and fry.

I would be interested in some more input also.
I was told by the LFS employee that because Daphnia is a saltwater organism it cannot transfer dangerous microorganisms to Discus because they are freshwater inhabitants?? ???

I don't think daphnia is from SW; a believe they are a FW organism....any other info out there? J.T.

jules - Daphnia is from freshwater. I have them in a box with tap water, no problem.
Maybe you mean Artemia (shrimps).

I would like to hear more info too ::)
