I was thinking Zebra plecos would look really sweet along side discus. They would also clean up some scraps of food.
So IF I was able find Zebra plecos in my area would they be ok to add to my Discus Tank after QT?

You should not have a problem keeping zebra plecs. with Discus, as they prefer ( and come from) very similar water parameters. Keep in mind that Zebras will need a good diet, they are not good for eating algae like other common plecs. are, and would prefer a meaty diet, ie. blood worms, brine shrimp etc.

I have one zebra pleco at this time. Believe it or not I have had it for nine years now. It has now lived in three different discus tanks. For nine years it has lived behind a tetra sponge filter. It has done this in each tank.

It has never bothered a discus or any bristlenose plecos. It does not eat algae, it eats leftover discus food in the middle of the night. It's the prettiest fish you will never see. It just likes to hide.
