Black Seams

Stupid observation, my discus spawn on the black tank seams. When I was talking with Andy Korenak, he noted that he has angels using the black tank seams.

The observation then becomes, "Are dark (black) objects a trigger for discus (angel) spawn sites?"

Has anyone studied color as a trigger for selecting spawn sites?

Haven't "studied" it, but I've had Discus spawn on dark objects, green plastic plants, light colored rocks, clear lift tubes, and even a titanium heater (didn't work out too well obviously :) ) My unscientific conclusion would be color is not a trigger. Probably more due to water current, ability to protect the corner, or some other such thing.
