Plecos and plywood

Has anyone heard of problems with plecostomus in painted plywood tanks. I know epoxy is tuff stuff, but I have seen acrylic damaged by them....

many Plecos eat lignin......so that could lead to disaster....even through the paint etc...plecos can scratch acrylic tanks...
