copper sulfate

One 4in.discus looking under the weather was removed an put in 10gal tank,added salt and copper sulfate(1 drop per gal) As temp.was in process of being elevated,the discus died.Can't help but think i acted to swiftly.I received these 6 about 3 weeks ago. I worry about discus plague,and what course of action i should take.please advise,

Did you have them quarantined?

Keep everything/equipment separate. Wash and dry hands between tanks.

no,I did not QT.PH is 7.5. Today they seem to be o.k. thanks for replies.
