Preparing food

Alright, so my discus come tomorrow, and i bought all their new food today. I got Hikari Bloodworms, Jack Wattley's discus mix packs, Tetra bits, and flake food. I believe i am supposed to put the frozen food and tetra bits in a cup of tank water before i feed them. How longs should i do this for?

Also, how many cubes do you think i should feed them? There is five 2.5-3" discus in there...

Start with the blood worms. Cut a cube in half, hold it underwater in your fingers for a few seconds until it starts to disintergrate. If the discus eat it all in a minute or two add the other half. Otherwise wait until the food is gone. Vacuum leftovers after an hour or so. Feed more food or less food depending on appetite every 3 or 4 horus. You can just hold the tetra bits under water for a second too.

Would it be okay to just plop them in the water, or should i do the drip method? Right now my Ph is stable around 7.5 and temp. at 86F.
