I have two breeding tank approx. 13" x 13" x 15 " ( 33 cm x 33 cm x 38 cm ) and they are kept in the balcony where there is direct sunlight at certain time of the day. As a result, the tanks form algae pretty fast and almost all sides of the tanks are covered with it whtin 2 weeks of setting them up.
Q: Does this affect the frowth of the fries if and wehn they arrive ?
Q: What is the best way to remove the algae, both physical and chemically ?

It's my understanding that true algae does not hurt the discus and may be beneficial for fry.

Carol, Thanks for your input. One other Q: The plant would be competing with the fries for oxygen at night when it does not photosynthesize. So would this pose a problem ?

Not if you have an airstone or other type of filter adding air to the tank
