Every now and then the politicians here in brisbane try to introduce Fluoride into the drinking water, my question is is that easy to remove from the tapwaterand/or is it damaging for the fish ?

Hi all,
Tom(?), Flouride is the MOST potent Oxidizer. I don't know how exactly it will or would affect your fish, but there are most likely people on this board that have Flouride-treated water they use. It probably hits your tap at a relatively low dose(like Chlorine) so as to keep within EPA gidelines. Anyone out there who can chime in about their water with Flouride in it? My city uses a sanitizer combo of Ozone and Chlorine to treat our water, so I can't help ya.

I did a quick search on APD and the general concensus of the posts is that flouride is harmless to fish in the concentrations seen in tap water.

I note that no one mentioned it as a powerful oxydiser.
