Thanks for the post. I would like to hear more from the simply experts on various strain crosses with results, both good and ones to avoid. Would be a real time saver for those of us just getting our feet wet in the breeding game. Any other leads to articles would be appreciated.

Hi,
In the Asian Discus book, there is a section called "The Essence of Thailand Discus" which provided some discus strain development as well. It didn't say which is a good/bad cross but it discussed the histroy of the development of the strain by the different areas, Thailand, Germany and Hong Kong. I don't know if there is any bias on the discussion.
BTW. I have the Chinese version so I have some problems translating all the names and strain.
