I like stripes

I like stripes. I'm not sure why, I just think they're cool. I know that many breeders try to breed out the stripes because they are going for one strain or another, but I think that discus need their stripes, and probably miss them when they're gone. Not that I'm some kind of fish psychologist or something, but how would you feel if someone took your stripes? (That is, if you had or needed those stripes, of course) While I'm at it, I like red pigment too. Yes, it's true, I've been turning my fish orange. But thats what discus get in their natural diet, and that's what I give them. Thank you for your time.
