Non-Painted tanks

I am trying to find out if anyone has had success with breeding in non-painted tanks? My fish are breeding but having some diffuculty raising their fries in 100% RO water. The general hardness is normally 13 to 19 with the RO it is about 6. Let me know your thoughts. ???

Hi, do you have any kind of background on your tank? I buy cheap wallpaper then paint it.
