Hi...
Asian breeders have been talking about ?foster parents? for so long since their move ?Red Melon? eggs to simple brown tank for parenting. Anyone know more about this method? Is it just making up or every fish bring their instrict out once they were put in the tank?

Fry have a hard time finding or attaching to white (parent) discus.

Some people will take a batch of white fry and put them with dark parents like red turquoise or browns. The white fry can easily find the dark parents.

I think it works best with prents who have fry close to the same age. Some discus are really good parents and will care for any fry anytime. You'll just have to experiment and see what works for you.
