a trick i learnt that tickles my fancies, is when i hold the black worms at the surface of the tank and let the discus peck at my fingers and brush against my hand.. physical love.. ;D make sure hands are clean though
does anyone else do this, or am i just slow.. hehe

Hi Jono,

I think there are a lot of folks who let their fish eat from their hands. To me, that is the ultimate display of their trust in you! And you made a good point... make sure hands are clean first!

I sometimes play tug of war with earthworms with my discus...

I've seen some actually pet their fish - lots of hand feeding makes them very tame.

So no, it's not that uncommon.

In my Bow tank the Fish are so used and trust me that they even come to my hand and arm and brush on them.
Of course the are looking for some food I might bring up around the decoration :-\ Sometimes it is real disturbing because they wont go away.

Funny thing is, it is only in that one tank where you can feel the love lol.
