well, i got my first batch of eggs from the discus i bought in feburary from jeff young. i bought his starter pack or whatever it was called, and i love it, but..i only have 4 left, sadly out of no where last month they got gill flukes, and then internal parasites. but anyway. A blue diamond and a red turq have paired off, the red turk was laying the eggs, and the blue diamond was doing passes over them, so im excited to see what happens. so, what will these fish (if they are fertilized and if they make it) look like?

Some will look like red turks and some will be predominately blue with patterning on the face and fins

well...im not sure how black the eggs should be...im not quite sure if they are fertile or not...some of the eggs have turned completely white...but quite a few are much darker than that..so..i dunno.

ok, update time, the first batch was eaten...but 6 days after the first batch was layed, they layed again..about double the amount of eggs. this is the begining of day three (dont know how many hours old cause they layed while i was at work) for the remaining eggs, there are only about half a dozen left, most got fungus and she ate them, but the remaining ones are black, i dont know if they will put all this work out for so few eggs, but we will see. now i do know i have a working male (yay!) anyways, thanks for all your help.

update...
again, they ate the second batch due to fungus....grr....but then 6 days after they layed the last batch..there was another. They layed this one friday the 3rd. well...i now have about 20 wigglers. i just put a divider in so my other 2 discus dont get hungry or somthing. im so excited. ok... if they make it i know next the attach to the parents, after that im supposed to start feeding baby brine shrimp..but..is there somthing i could feed them instead. I looked at a few foods, there is frozen baby brineshrimp, hikari first bites, and then liquifry for egg layers. would any of those work?? thanks for all the help.
