hi
first and foremost i want to say iam neither an expert in water quality nor discus. i have these forums to thank for the majority of my success and avoiding many failures. i see water quality for the most part limited to ph, gh, kh. for many thats enough, for others like myself there are other things in water to be aware of. i am on well water in florida and have hydrogen sulfide which is toxic. for those who have problems with their fish water is the first place to check. chlorine, chloramine, hydrogen sulfide, drastic ph , hardness, or temperature shifts.
its not rocket science but read and don't take things for granted. randall, cary, brew,carol etc etc. learn from everybody. i try
