Hi there. Welcome to the forum! :)

To calcuate;

multiply (in inches) height x length x width x 0.0043= gallons.

You might measure the dimensions of your aquarium and then check that against the dimensions listed for various sizes available from an aquarium manufacturer's Web site. For example, http://www.casco-group.com/hexaqua.html lists width and height for 5 hex tanks from 15 to 95 gallons:
Description /
Model Dimensions (inches/centimeters)
Width (Point to Point) x Height
15 Hexagon 15 x 20in. / 38 x 51cm
20 Hexagon 15 x 24in. / 38 x 61cm
28 Hexagon 18 x 20in. / 46 x 51cm
34 Hexagon 18 x 23in. / 46 x 59cm
55 Hexagon 25 x 24in. / 64 x 61cm
75 Hexagon 25 x 30in. / 64 x 77cm
95 Hexagon 25 x 36in. / 64 x 92cm

Howie's formula is for rectangular tanks but the principal is correct. Basically, you need to figure volume in cubic inches and then multiply by 0.0043 to convert to gallons. ( Some people divide by 231- it is the same thing. 1/231 = 0.0043) For your tank, you can figure volume by figuring the area of the Hexagon then multiply by the height. There is an exotic formula for figuring the area of a Hexagon but it is easier to cut the hex up into rectangles and triangles, figure the area of each, then add them up. Then, multiply by the height, multiply by 0.0043, and, Bob's your uncle! you've got it. OR, use KMO's table and gete a good estimate and call it good!
