I have 70 babies from a quarter to a few less than a dime size (US ,sorry)
ok, from big cherry to a few peanut sized ones.
question is, is it really beneficial to the smaller guys to be separated from the mainly bigger ones? I personally don't buy the theory of an anti-growth pheromone, since most of the fish are the same size. the little guys get their fair shake at eating.
i am moving them to a 29 gallon.

I have found it to be beneficial to separate them. At this size, GIT <if it exists (and I think it does)> would not be a problem. GIT is most likely produced by sexually mature adults.
