Fin tear or ... ?

Hi,

One of my discus has got a split tail (tear tail) not sure where this is what is defined as fin rot , anybody can give any idea how to treat ?

Hi,
Usually with fin rot the fins are not only jagged, but the edges of the "tear" will be whitish .
I would observe this and if it gets worse would then consider it fungal or bacterial.

For now I would just make sure to do daily wc's and keep the tank clean (wipe sides)

Pretty bad split, but hopefully will grow back together in a week
