I have a 35g hex. I have 7 discus in it (I know it is crowded) but they look pretty healthy. :). Please let me know what type of plant would look nice in it. I bought 100dollars worth of plant from www.freshwateraquariumplants.com. In the pictures they have online, the plants are so big! I ordered 2 packages, and the plants came home... I was so dissapointed. >:( They are so tiny! 100 dollars worth of plants on fit in hand.

7 discus in a 35 hex is already crowded and it will be even more if you want to add a jungle of plants in there. Just my opinion.

Your plant selection will depend a lot on what type of lighting you have. Usually the standard fluorescent hex lights aren't going to be bright enough for many varieties of plants. Hex tanks are harder to light, unless you use something like compact fluorescent lights or metal halides. Just some things to consider.
