soft water pillow

has any of you used/use the soft water pillow?

I used one a long time ago. I really wouldn't see the use for it in discus tanks because of the amount of water changes we do. The pillow I'm familiar with is stored in a brine solution, which re-charges the pillow. It also adds sodium to the tank.


I would go with an RO unit from Randal. He's cheap :D

hi i tried using one but never saw any great effect. try using spagnum peat moss from a garden store.
