Polishdude,

You're relatively close to Toronto and there are a few hobbyist breeders on this forum who live in that area; I'd say they would be a good source for you. I've seen some discus for sale at some of the Toronto area Chinatowns for very reasonable prices; its the prices on the Asian arowanas that scare me! :D

Just check the "Buy, Sell, Trade" section:

Your other choice could be to visit Cary Strong in the Detroit, Michigan area. Here's his website:

(you'll have to bring the fish through customs though)

HTH,

Walter (who's from Port Huron, Michigan that little city across the lake from Sarnia, Ontario).

Hey Polski!

Barb Newell is an excellent breeder in Burlington. She has a thread in the Breeders forum right now. I bought fish from her and highly recommend her.

Barb's only 45 mins from Kitchner and I highly recommend her discus. I have two tanks of Barb's fry doing great and beautiful colours.

Thanks Joe and Steph! The babies do well because of the care you give them.

Yeah, "loonies", "twonies", "expiry", "sabre", "out and about", and "eh?" aren't spoken as much down here in the States either! ;) j/k!
