I need an easier and faster way to change out water instead of doing it by buckets. I would appreciate any information.

I would like to get the same information...

I have a planted 55 gal tank with 4 discus and I use peat pellets to keep my ph around 6.5 and the KH and GH close to nothing. For now, I'm doing 25% 3 times a week with a water treatment product called Aqua Plus. I use buckets and I mix cold and hot tap water to get close to the temperature of my tank. I then add the Aqua Plus and I wait 10 minutes...

That's all ! Am I right to do so? That's what they told me to do at the fish store... :(

Thank you all

I use to use a python vaccum hose that connects to your faucet to drain and directly fill my tank. I would just add de-chloraminer, adjust the faucet temp, and fill the tank. I'm aging my water now so I've since purchased a pump and hoses (like CAROL). I use a rubbermaid container to store the water. Having the python is a plus though. I drain my tank quick and I fill the my storage container quick. I also add a water treatment to the stored water to eliminate chloramines. Also, the storage container has two heaters to match the temp to the fish tank. :)

Yesterday I did a 50% water change and one of my discus is now completely white even though he was in perfect health the day before... The PH just went from 6.5 to 6.6... what's happening?
