Angel fish male tried to fertilize discus's eggs!

I have two female discus and one angel in the community tank. Discus laid eggs on the glass, angel fertilized the eggs and chased every fish away from the eggs. What do you guys think of this? Do you think the eggs going to hatch with the right parameter?

Angel is so protected of the eggs. He chased the female discus away too. I put my hand on the glass and he keeps poking at my hand. Well, this morning I check on him and all eggs were eaten. I don't know who ate them :). I think they are going to do it again. But, if I want to see it hatch or not, I will have to put them in the separate tank.

Try again when they will spawn. Good luck, Can you take out the eggs into one gallon jar with airstone with 10 drops of methyline blue or one or 2 drop formandhaye 37%. If the eggs would be hatch or not.

Bad new! I couldn't get them to do it again. The power head broke in the middle of the night and the fish run out of oxygen. One of my female discus died. I feel so bad. Here is the video clip when both of them are still alive and angel fertilized the eggs. :(

You can see power head is running in this video clip. I should have use airpump.

sorry to hear about the powerhead failure, what type of filter are you using?? you should have to have air going into the tank if your filter makes sufficient flow.

I have magnum, I had enough water agitation but I made not to agitate water because later I will have plants...so i put power head for temporary.
