I just ordered my first ever CBW from Dan. I also got a couple of the worm keepers. Now when you rinse these CBW do you leave enough water in the keepers so there is some water left in with the worms. I info sheet says something about leaving 1/2" of water above the worms.
Thankx Drew..

Yes -the worms should be completely covered with water in the upper half of the keeper.

Drew-
Refill just above the worms. They need to be in water but I think they can drown if the water is too high.

If you put too much water in there the worms will crawl out. Girlfriend freaked when she saw the great worm escape. Not pretty...
Drew...
Been there, done that! Tad didn't appreciate that the worms crawled out, fell to the shelf below, and onto his bottles of beer.
As Fred said... just enough water to cover, and you should be fine.

I ended up buying a seperate dorm style refrigerator for my worms and aged water. It keeps the wife happy. Money well spent!

I was prohibited from leaving CBW in my friz. My wife just freaked out everytimes. It cold in Seattle, so no problem leaving it outside. It just the damn birds keep trying to open the worm keeper.
Hank
LOL Hank,
I can relate! My bird makes the rounds with me to feed the fish. She tries to eat the CBW's before I can put them in the tanks.
