I'VE GOT QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS.HOW LONG WOULD BE CONSIDERED ENOUGH FOR PAIR TO FORM. I HAVE 6 DISCUS I 77GL HEAVELY PLANTED TANK AND EXCEPT OCASIONAL BULLYING I DONT SEE ANY BONDING.WONDER IF I WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH ANOTHER 2/3 FISHES,THEN AGAIN STILL AFRAID THAT MIGHT BE COUPLE TO MANY.THEY ARE AROUND 4 '' BIG, NOT QUITE ADULTS YET.AND THAT WOULD BE MY NEXT QUESTION .YOU GUYS MESSURE FISH INCLUDING TAIL OR WITHOUT. I RUN SMALL SUMP FILTER AND CANISTER FLUVAL 303.WC 30% EVERY THIRD DAY PH 6.4 KH 2 GH2 ,

Give them some time say maybe 6 more months

If they are old enough, healthy enough and the water conditions are right they will pair up and spawn. If your water is hard you may have to soften it to encourage spawning. How old are your discus? Some may need to be 18 - 24 months old.

Thanks for replying.Fish ranges from 8 to 13 months old.This is my tank.Im plan on adding those extra fish for total of 9.Would tank be overcrowded for next 6 months with that many fish.Carol our water in Vancouver as Glenn knows is very soft out of the top at around ph 6.4 .Comes out with kh2 ,gh2.Hi Glenn breeding any fish.What's your stock.

I would not add any more discus. New discus have to be quarantined at least 6 weeks. Be patient your discus are still quite young.
