Looking for "Canadian"German blue Ram breeder

Hi There People,
does anybody know of any breeders of German blue Rams in Canada....preferably in B.C. or as close to B.C. as possible...I can't seem to find any!

Any leads would be greatly appreciated

Charlie Drew breeds some really nice German Blue Rams. I have some of his. But he is in Burlington, Ontario.

A select few of the LFS here gets their German Rams from local breeders, but it's sporadic at best. Most are from Asia or Florida. I would like some as well, but direct from local breeders. What would you be interested in?

There is a guy who breeds them in Edmonton. He recently sold a number of his mature pairs to one of the LFS here in Calgary.

Gary at Tanks-a-lot in Calgary would probably be able to give you his contact information. He is an avid hobbiest and does not mind requests like this.

ed8t.....I would prefer to get rams from local breeders also, if you can find any "quality" rams in Vancouver....please let me know..I'd be willing to take a trip to the city!

Hello Brenda,

I have some proven breed pairs of Blue rams, Those fish are come from Cary at GLD.

I am working on them. I got 3 proven breed pairs. They laid eggs. The batches went to hatch they ate them. I wish i should pull out the proven breed pairs in breed tank for sure. If you wish to buy a pair of blue rams let me know.

Let me know when you get juveniles from your Rams...I have a new tank that wants some this summer! Also bristlenose plecs, good looking corys etc...:)

Yes I will, I am still looking for the male brushnose plecos I have 4 females. does not matter to me i can find albino brushynose plecos males or brown brushynose plecos males.

I hope Barb Newll will send me some nice bushynose plecos for me :)


The blue rams I got 3 batches so far they ate the eggs ARRGGHHHH.. Next spawn I will take out the batch i can grow them out.

Also i am breeding for farlowella :) Cardinal tetras try to do that my best.

hi Ed,

No, some rams from Cary @ GLD. I got 4 pairs of Butterfly rams and 3 pairs of Gold rams from my LFS. They are looking AWESOME! One pair of butterfly and one pair of gold rams spawned already!
