thought as much...... (it's always the cheaper ones)

Thanks Carol.

out of the pigeon based ones listed above which(if any) are least likely to develope heavy peppering (when raised under sutialbe conditions)

Any of these can be heavily peppered, depending on the breeder. Carolina Discus has some really clean Red melons for sale right now and Jeff also usually posts some good sales on really clean imported fish.
Best off to buy from a respected breeder? importer and ask for pictures of the actual fish.

Hi Blaze,

Thank you for starting this topic. I am interested on the total list for the PB strain as well. I think there is PB SS also.
I am not sure about the Mandarin Passion. They look kind of PB base to me. May be someone can verify on this?
Mike has some gold leopard. Are they part of the PB also? There seems to be a lot of PB around.

hi blaze,

those fish are pigeon bloods are carry gene, The breeders gave them fancy names, of course they have black peppers some pigeon bloods have heavey black peppers and no peppers but still very very small amount of black pepper therefore they are pigeon blood gene.

The San merch isn't pigoen blood I agree with carol and everyone comments.

This time all breeders are going make clean form pigeon bloods are very nice! As Melon red, gold melon, etc.
I have some pigeon bloods are nice but they have very small amount of black peppers I am still working on them.

Dan, Do you paint the inside? If you paint the outside, wouldn't you just see the reflection of the bottom?

I intrested in doing the same for a few of my tanks.

Thanks

this is impressive:
1) its names after a gem
2) someone how it got the name.
