Questions about Ro water + Mineral Salt.

Dear Friends, this is my first message here.
Congratulations for the nice forum, it's a nice place.

First, sorry for my bad english, my native language is the portuguese.

My doubt is about RO water. I have a DIY RO filter that works well.
I'm using the tropic marin discus mineral salt.

This is a good practice? Use RO water+industrialized salt?

Is the mineral salt specifically made to replace some of hte minerals lost to RO?

Many of us here mix RO with tap water to get water soft enough for eggs to hatch, yet with enough minerals and buffer so the pH does not crash.

Also most of us only use RO for breeders and raise juveniles in tap water.
